This is a super cool modified Fender Stratocaster from 1977 that has been refinished. This refinish was likely done a long time ago, and is very well-done. The color has aged very nicely from over time!
This guitar does show quite a bit of cosmetic wear from over the years that includes various surface scratches, scuffs, and dents throughout the body with additional dings along the back of the neck and headstock. The maple neck and headstock have aged from over time and show areas of discoloration. The headstock particularly shows quite a bit of finish wear and the hardware shows normal tarnishing from over time. from over time. The frets have flattened out and show some grooves from the many years of play. None of the frets are completely fretting out at this point but there is some minor fret buzz along some areas of the neck. Overall, the guitar plays well with medium action despite the fret wear.
This guitar has undergone several modifications. The pickup selector has been removed and replaced by 3-way mini switches for different parallel, series, and phase tones. The output jack has been replaced and the guitar is also now wired for a single volume and single tone configuration. The potentiometers and capacitor appear to be replacements as well. The pickguard has also been replaced to accommodate this wiring. The back spring cover and tremolo arm have also been added.
