This all-original Vintage Fender Jazz Bass plays and sounds great! This bass actually has a 4-bolt neck plate and the serial number dates to 1975, making it one of the last 4-bolt Jazz Basses of this era. This one is heavier in weight at just over 10 pounds and the maple fretboard provides a really nice attack while playing. This bass really exemplifies what was so special about the Jazz basses of this era, and why they are still reissued to this day!
This bass does show some cosmetic wear from over the years that includes various surface scratches, scuffs, and dents throughout the body with additional dings along the back of the neck and headstock. The hardware shows normal tarnishing and the binding around the neck and block inlays on the fretboard have yellowed from over time. The frets have some oxidation and have started to flatten from the many years of play. Despite the fret wear, the strings still play well along the neck with very little noticeable fret buzz.
This bass is all original.
