This is a super cool and hard to find Fender 1972 Telecaster from 1993. This one is interesting because the "Made in Japan" font below the serial number is actually in script writing similar to the Crafted in Japan guitars which is not common for Fender MIJ's. There's lots of debate over the meaning of this but the general consensus seems to be that these might have been made as non-export models exclusively for the Japanese market. This one is a TL72-53 from the 1993 catalog in a classic Off White Blonde (OLB).
This guitar shows a few signs of cosmetic wear from over the years. There's light scratching on the body and pickguard and the white finish has aged significantly. There's also various dents along the lower bout and sides of the guitar and a small chip on the back of the lower horn. There's also some small cracks near the neck pocket. The frets are used but still play great and the electronics work as they should.
This guitar is all original.
