This is such a cool Gibson Melody Maker from 1964. This guitar is in really nice shape for its age and it plays and sounds great! Absolutely beautiful checking throughout the finish, this guitar plays great and has aged really well.
This guitar does show a some signs of wear from over the years as you would expect from a vintage instrument. The finish is checking on both the front and back of the guitar and there's also various dents and scratches on the body. There is some wear/marks where the fretboard meets the neck heel, not sure if this is indicative of work or play wear. The back of the neck also shows some checking and dents and there's scratching and dings on the headstock as well. The frets have been replaced for bigger frets. These newer frets are in great shape and play great. The electronics work as they should.
The tuners have been replaced with Gibson Deluxe tuners, the strap buttons have been replaced, and there was a refret. Otherwise this guitar appears to be original.
Includes the pictured hard case. Looks to be an older Ibanez hard case, it is not a perfect fit, but protects the guitar well, will be packed accordingly for shipping.
