This is a super rare and hard to find American Showster Savant III that plays and sounds great! These were made post Kramer in the late eighties / early nineties with an innovative metal body design for greater sustain. The body is ultra thin and heavy-weight at just over 9lbs. The Savant III features an HSS pickup configuration with single volume/tone controls, 5-way pickup selector, and a mini switch for coil tapping.
This guitar does show some cosmetic wear from over the years that include various scratches and scuffs throughout the body with a couple of chips located on the sides. The headstock also shows additional minor dings and there's a couple of small dents along the edge of the fretboard. The hardware is also lightly tarnished from over time. The frets are used but still play great and the electronics work as they should.
The bridge pickup has been upgraded to a DiMarzio DP159 Evolution Bridge Humbucker and the back spring cover is missing. This guitar otherwise appears to be original.
